We at Augmented Ibiza were lucky enough to get a digital sit down with Doorly the other day to go through what he’s got on this season and whats got him most excited about the island! If you have any video’s or photos of anything Doorly or Ibiza Rocks related make sure you upload them to our page!
It is probably safe to say that Doorly is now an Ibiza standard bearer. Having been a big part of the Ibiza Rocks / Radio 1 Ibiza Weekend since 2008 he is now an Ibiza Rocks resident and plays there every Wednesday until late September.
During our chat we stumbled across a bit of an AI exclusive, learning that Zane Lowe is actually co-programming the line up this year as well as playing his own brand of party music on a few select nights!
The Ibiza Rocks party kicks of June 1st with a huge opening night line-up including Plan B, Wretch 32 and Nicola Bear.
We also had the chance to delve into some of Doorly’s personal memories of the island and what advice he’d offer to any Island goers. He talks about his favorite memory being when the Prodigy played an intimate gig at Ibiza Rocks last year, lets be honest no-one can really argue, seeing the Prodigy in anything smaller than a stadium is bound to be something special!
Alternative spots and secret beaches are often left unexplored by party goers, however if you do feel like doing something a bit different Doorly suggests taking a night of from clubbing, getting up early and taking a ferry to Formentera, home to some extraordinary beaches!
Finally, Doorly’s prediction for the summer? Simply that he won’t be missing any flights…….
