In the age of digital, where laptops and dj controllers are a big part of the Ibiza scene, it’s refreshing to come across nights like Nightmares on Wax’s ‘Wax Da Jam’ night at Aura. The night has a really soulful and relaxed vibe going on, with the Nightmares on Wax crew joined by guest djs and live performers to create a really fresh and unique sound.
It has been running at Aura for a while now, and we were lucky enough to be invited down to film one of their nights earlier in the summer…
Ashley Beedle was guesting on the decks when we went down to film, and DJ Ease and Negghead have managed to secure the services of some really big names so far, with Roots Manuva, Massive Attack, Bonobo and DJ Shadow all having come down to play live.
Look out for Maxi from Faithless, as he chats with Ease before letting himself loose to the bongo beats of Shovell the Drum Warrior. We also managed to grab a quick interview with up-and-coming singer Chantae Vetrice, as she told us about how much she was loving her first time at the Jam!
