Being as Sundays at Space are like a festival I had to put this festival anthem at No.1, great both as the original and the remix by The Knocks who make it more dancefloor friendly.
2. Friendly Fires – Live These Days Tonight
Wonderful return from a band that perfectly straddle dance and indie music, this euphoric song reminds me of raves 20 years ago, this image is reinforced by the rave footage on the video.
3. Carte Blanche ft Alexis Taylor – With You
A reminder of what a wonderful musician DJ Mehdi was.
4. Peter & The Magician – Twist
Italo nu-disconess at it’s finest.
5. Digitalism – Blitz
Digitalism + Blitz = Boom!
6. Metronomy – The Bay (Erol Alkan mix)
Erol taking a masterpiece to new heights.
7. Hercules & Love Affair – Painted Eyes (Moonlight Matters mix)
Hercules hits the discotheque hard.
8. Lykke Li- I Follow Rivers (The Magician remix)
Singalong piano magic from The Magician.
9. Plump DJs – Hump Rock
Break beat badboy using Billy Squier – The Big Beat to great effect.
10. Friendly Fires – Hurting
Second entry from The Fires, but their album really was that good. An emotional torch burner that gives me goose bumps.
