With such a wide range of food choice in Ibiza, there is always a restaurant to suit the occasion: whether you want to get away from the crowds and sample some remote local cuisine, or enjoy some tapas as you get ready for the night out. Here is a selection of a few of our favourites eateries on the island.
Aura
Uber Bar…
A fresh new revamp this summer for this restaurant slash bar sees Aura expand via a luscious jasmine-filled terrace. Perfect for sipping delicious cocktails along with that tasty tapas. DJs spin inside all through the night keeping the party going and the bodies grooving. The uber ‘it bar’ on the island, it’s slick with stylish interiors, plus a lush garden designed by a world-renowned landscaper… Aura is nothing short of sensational.
Balafia
Hard to Beat Meat…
It is one of the least known areas of the island but this family-run restaurant is one of its best kept secrets. The food is homely and simple but bursting with quality. Specialising in meat, it’s cooked on an open fire using olive and almond wood, giving the dishes a unique flavour. Hard to find but worth it once you’ve had a bite.
Las Dos Lunas
Lost in Las Dos…
Beautiful, fragrant, whimsical gardens and a superbly placed location mean that this is a favourite stop off for many a low key celeb or DJ on their way to one of the big clubs. Reminiscent of an enchanted Spanish underworld, Las Dos Lunas is ultra discrete and hosts many a famous face without most people blinking an eye or taking notice. Its privacy and loyalty to its clientele is known, and the rich and famous keep rolling in to Las when in town. Look out for the white cow that lives on the roof. A Coxy favourite.
