Es Vedra – Caves
“got to be on a boat to get to these caves, amazing to swim in just like the carribean”– Carl Cox
Host to parties and day trips the Ibiza caves are well known to locals. Ibiza is an island of mysteries and ES VEDRA is one of them…….both are considered places of transformation.
While exploring Ibiza, by tracking down the islands caminos in the countryside, most unexpectedly one can be confronted with the beautiful and Mysterious Rock Es Vedra when it suddenly appears in clear sight.
A boat excursion, often with glass-bottom, to admire the crystal clear waters, can bring you along the mysterious rock formation Es Vedra with its high rising and almost straight up going sides. There is the opportunity to climb up for those who dare, for the views are absolutely stunning. Most of the excursions start in Port Magnus, harbor of San Antonio and it will be a very worthwhile and enjoyable boat trip.
Portinax
The largest beach S’Arenal Gros is in the Bay across from the main Coach Park; little S’Arenal Petit, which is more private, is around the corner from the rocky promontory to the left. The third is Playa Porto Beach, surrounded by little pineclad hillocks, it is in a little cove at the end of the main road. All these beaches have shallow water and are excellent for bathing
Formentera
Toddla T’s must visit spot for lunch and a swim. If party-mad Ibiza ever gets too much, hop on a ferry to the lovely Formentera. It’s picture-perfect Mediterranean, with white sandy beaches and crystal clear water to cool off in. Try one of the many cycle/hiking paths if you are feeling energetic, or just get some much needed R&R.
